Construction Is Now Underway

Main Entrance Construction at Guacalito de la Isla

Construction on the ground has now begun at Guacalito de la Isla in a phased approach. Last November, construction began at Botánica Golf Course, and now earth is moving and buildings are rising at strategic points around the community.

Part of the work now being done on site includes the construction of the community’s main entrance. As plans were designed for Guacalito de la Isla,  great care was taken to preserve existing trees and vegetation whenever possible. In many cases, the planned community design worked with nature, building around the stature of magnificent old trees –  including them in the design to enhance the Resident Experience. Occasionally, core infrastructure infringed on the existing location of trees. Rather than raze the elements of nature as many other developments do, Guacalito de la Isla has insisted on preservation. Large trees have been carefully uprooted, wrapped, and transplanted to an alternate location on site where they can continue to thrive and residents can enjoy them for generations. Sustainability and connection to nature are guiding principles of our community, and our dedication to upholding these principles remain strong.

Construction on site means current and future Guacalito de la Isla residents are one step closer to being able to enjoy the spectacular beauty of this beachfront community on a daily basis. Keep checking back with our blog – we’ll continue to post details about our progress on site regularly.
